The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets have started writing about PlayStation unprecedentedly. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox still intends to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its flagship service.
The Immediate Additions
The duo of games currently accessible as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of horror and action."
Intriguing Niche Additions
But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are rock solid. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
