This young athlete maintains substantial online presence
Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous courses worldwide and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He basically told me to go out there and relax," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions this year and holds position 461 in AJGA standings.
But she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, following the flow."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to different demographics, particularly reaching younger fans.
The young star boasts a massive following and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
