Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
