British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday evening. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his team members.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.
Honoring the Deceased
Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two dear friends.”
